In addition, original artist Jonathan Shaw will recreate his demonstration of painting a portrait of a live hawk sitting on his arm between 3-5 PM. There will be live music by Ray Dempsey between 5-8 PM and cake-cutting at 8 PM. The Colonial Beach Second Friday Art Walk and refreshments begin at 6 PM. As always, the public is invited free-of-charge.
The original thirteen artists represented by their works are Barbara Chiminello, Luda Del Rose, Francie Freitas, Steve Griffin, Beejee Juhnke, Rob Liberace, Candy Livingston (deceased), Barbara Love, Kris McKinzie, Ross Merrill (deceased), Jonathan Shaw, Patricia Spitaleri, and Joyce Thor. Approximately nine of the artists will appear at the event. The Exhibit will continue until October 8.
The Exhibit will also include the works of many current artists, and an assemblage of decorative minerals, unique jewelry and wooden bowls. Also, on site is the Tarver Harris Design Studio, featuring unusual abstract paintings. Carl and Joyce, the owners, wish to thank their customers over the years and hope they will join us for the celebration. JarrettThor is located at 100 Taylor St. in Colonial Beach.
