JarrettThor Fine Arts in Colonial Beach will present “Water-Borne”, an exhibit of the works of Cindy Packard Richmond. The Opening Reception and Meet the Artist will take place on August 12th from 6-9PM. The exhibit continues until September 5. As always, the public is invited free of charge.
Cindy, a native of Maine, has been a published novelist and food-writer and is now a resident artist at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria. She is known for her bold-colored oil and pastel paintings of sailboats, food, landscapes, and Asian subjects….but most of it deals with the water. Cindy is not noted for her sailing or swimming, but she manages to make water and its immediate surroundings believable and striking.
JarrettThor also shows the works of its 30 permanent artists along with unique jewelry, decorative minerals, wooden bowls and reed baskets. Co-located is Tarver Harris Design Studios that features fine silk scarves and her original paintings.
JarrettThor is located at 100 Taylor St. in Colonial Beach. Hours are 10AM-5PM Thursday-Sunday and other times by appointment. For further information, call 804-224-7200 or visit www.jarretthor.com or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
